We listened to Antony Gormley launching this initiative on 31 January 2021. Being closed, we have just our windows to use to attract and amuse passers by, trying to keep the town centre animated and alive. So we have joined this national project and invite artists to join us and make a GREAT BIG ART EXHIBITION in our windows in Ramsgate town centre!
Read Art Critique's press release about the event and the supporting artistshere And in the Guardian, here The event has been created by Firstsite, funded by Arts Council England
It sets out to have windows filled with art, encouraging everyone from children to artists to take part. We would love to show your work, for sale if you are willing, and bring something exciting and beguiling to our street between April - July this year. Of the artists and institutions who have suggested ideas to develop work from, we would like to use these to inspire you to create: Jeremy Deller ; Antony Gormley ; The National Gallery ; The Ashmolean Museum
